Frankie Ann Harris, age 69, affectionately known as Pipix, passed away January 6, 2018. Frankie is best remembered for her vibrant personality, love of animals, and musical talent. She began singing in her childhood at 66 Street Baptist Church and later was a member of bands popular on the college circuit who opened for artists such as Linda Ronstat, The Commodores, and Janis Joplin. Later, she and her cousin created the singing duo Cousins, who performed throughout the Birmingham and Nashville venues. Frankie graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1966. Frankie Ann Harris, age 69, affectionately known as Pipix, passed away January 6, 2018. Frankie is best remembered for her vibrant personality, love of animals, and musical talent. She began singing in her childhood at 66 Street Baptist Church and later was a member of bands popular on the college circuit who opened for artists such as Linda Ronstat, The Commodores, and Janis Joplin. Later, she and her cousin created the singing duo Cousins, who performed throughout the Birmingham and Nashville venues. Frankie graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1966. Frankie was preceded in death by her beloved parents Frank W. Harris, Jr., and Jo Ann Noblitt Harris, grandmothers Sudie May Noblitt and Irene Austin Harris, grandfather Frank W. Harris, Sr., and many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Frankie is survived by her sister Cindy Harris-Overstreet (Lisa), her brother Richie Harris (Connie), her adored nieces Caity Jo and Carson Grace Harris-Overstreet, her cousin Elaine C. Genard, and a great many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, AL. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Marti Williams-Martin will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Frankie’s favorite charities: aspca.org, Handinpaw.org, @twobytworescue, or any other organization that protects the lives of innocent animals.
